The National Electric Company and Russia’s nuclear power equipment and service exporter Atomstroyexport signed an agreement for storage of the nuclear equipment for Belene NPP. The whole activity related to the storage of the nuclear equipment will be done by the National Electric Company under the supervision of the manufacturers and representatives of Atomstroyexport. The contract was signed for five years with an option to be extended if necessary. However, the National Electric Company hopes that a strategic investor of the second nuclear power plant will be chosen by then and that all contracts will be transferred to that company.
