Indian company investing in Bulgaria as bridge to Europe

One of the largest industrial conglomerates in India, UMESH MODI GROUP will invest 5 million US dollars to build its base in Bulgaria in order to open its way to the European market. This was made clear at a meeting of Deputy Minister of Economy Lilia Ivanova with Umesh K. Modi - president of the Indian company. Bulgaria has been selected after a careful study of the countries in the region and their investment climate in them.

The interests of the group are in the fields of pharmaceutics, cosmetics, sugar industries, iron, steel and others. The annual turnover of the company is over 550 million US dollars. It has a marketing and distribution network in Asia, Africa and other international markets.
