GERB expects foreign interference in forthcoming elections in Bulgaria

Bulgaria can expect and must be ready for all types of malicious interference in the election process, this country’s Deputy Premier Tomislav Donchev commented. Deputy Premier Donchev reminded that this country was already subject to hacker attacks during the elections in 2015. The Bulgarian authorities are taking the necessary measures in cyber security field to guarantee the security of elections, Tomislav Donchev went on to say. Deputy Chairman of the ruling party GERB Tsvetan Tsvetanov said that Russia will try to interfere in the forthcoming elections for European Parliament and local elections in Bulgaria.
