The Bulgarian National Assembly voted the resignation of this country’s Minister of Agriculture and Food Rumen Porozhanov. 121 Bulgarian MPs voted in favor and 5 MPs voted against. Rumen Porozhanov resigned due to an investigation for misappropriation of EU funds in State Fund Agriculture when this institution was headed by him. Desislava Taneva was appointed as this country’s new Minister of Agriculture and Food. She already served as Agriculture Minister from the end of 2014 until the beginning of 2017 in the second cabinet of Premier Boyko Borissov.
