On July 18 many Bulgarian towns honored with concerts, religious ceremonies and military rituals the birth anniversary of the Bulgarian national hero Vasil Levski (born in 1837). Levski is a founder of the Internal Revolutionary Organization whose task was to liberate the Bulgarian lands from the rule of the Ottoman Empire.
