Bulgaria has called on the EU Agriculture Council in Brussels to continue to pay transitional national aid to its farmers. The request was supported by 5 other countries - Cyprus, Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Romania. Minister Desislava Taneva called for transitional national aid to continue to be paid until the adoption and introduction of the rules for the new agricultural policy of the community. Otherwise, the incomes of Bulgarian farmers will be suddenly and significantly reduced, which would endanger the provision of jobs in rural areas, Minister Taneva said.
