Borissov noted that energy cooperation between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan has reached a strategic level. It was emphasized that a common priority for both countries was the diversification of sources and routes as well as ensuring the security of energy supplies to Europe. Borissov pointed out that Bulgaria has always supported the construction of the Southern Gas Corridor, an integral part of the project is the Greece-Bulgaria interconnector, through which Bulgaria will receive Azerbaijani natural gas.
