Number of Bulgarians travelling abroad continues to increase

The number of Bulgarians travelling abroad continues to rise, latest data of the National Statistical Institute show. In January 2020, a total of 423,100 Bulgarians travelled abroad, which is 5.1% more as compared to the same month last year. The number of Bulgarians travelling to Turkey increased with 15.7%. The number of people visiting Italy and Serbia went up by 11.1% and 9.8% respectively. The number of visits to France decreased with 6.9%, to Spain- with 3.8% and to Greece- with 0.8% year on year.
