The Bulgarian state-owned gas transmission operator Bulgartransgaz launches a public consultation over a project for a 10-year plan for the development of the company's gas network for the period 2020 - 2029.
The aim is to guarantee the security of gas deliveries, the readiness of the gas transmission network to meet demand of the country and the region, as well as to achieve diversification of gas sources and routes. No significant natural gas deposits have been discovered in Bulgaria. Natural gas is mainly provided through imports and local extraction of limited quantities of natural gas.
