Bulgarian MEP accuses EU of hypocrisy

Bulgaria’s MEP Angel Dzhambazki accused the EU of hypocrisy over the Mobility Package. "Hundreds of thousands of Bulgarian, Polish, Romanian and Czech drivers are saving the lives of people in Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands", Angel Dzhambazki said at a session of the European Parliament held to discuss the measures against the Covid-19 crisis. "Now, these drivers are welcome. Now, they are not sent home. Now, there is no Mobility package. Now, they are working 12 hours a day, sleep in their truck cabins and nobody sends them back to their home countries. But after the crisis Brussels wants to leave 200,000 people jobless", Angel Dzhambazki said and added that the Commission was late in its response to the coronavirus which resulted in adoption of national measures and closure of borders.
