Bulgaria's Healthcare Minister Kiril Ananiyev has issued an order for the resumption of assisted reproduction activities, which have been temporarily suspended in light of the Covid-19 crisis, the health ministry announced.

Assisted reproduction activities will be performed under strict anti-epidemic measures as each patient will be regarded as potentially infected with Covid-19 and all necessary personal protective equipment will be used by the medical staff.

All health care facilities that carry out assisted reproduction activities must strictly comply with the anti-epidemic measures introduced. They will be subject to enhanced scrutiny by the Medical Supervision Executive Agency and regional health inspectorates.
