Saharan dust covers Bulgaria

The significant concentration of Saharan dust in the atmosphere registered on May 15 will be observed today on the territory of Bulgaria as well. The heat burst phenomenon, which is dangerous for the agricultural crops, is registered in Veliko Tarnovo, Sofia, Kyustendil, Vratsa and Southeast Bulgaria regions. It is characterized by increase in temperature above 30ºС, decrease in relative humidity below 30% and wind speed above 5 meters per second, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology explained.
