In the period from the beginning of the year until April, 3,204 Bulgarians have declared, upon de-registration from job centres, that they are leaving to work abroad.
Minister of Labour and Social Policy Denitsa Sacheva stated in parliament that only 9 of them had found a job with the help of the European job mobility portal EURES. No requests for hiring Bulgarian workers have been submitted by EURES since the start of the state of emergency on 13 March. At the moment no job vacancies are being advertised for seasonal or any other kind of workers in other countries, Minister Sacheva adds.
