“Restoring the sports economy is an enormous responsibility for all EU member countries. It must be among the EU’s priorities and must be supported with European funding,” said Minister of Youth and Sports Krasen Kralev.

Minister Kralev pointed out that at an EU level Bulgaria has supported, from the very beginning, a coordinated approach to addressing the consequences of the pandemic for sports. He added that Bulgaria started taking measures to mitigate the negative effects of the pandemic on the sports economy at a very early stage.
