Field inspections start of farmers applying for subsidies

As of today, the Agriculture Fund starts field inspections of farmers who have applied for subsidies. The control procedure will start with on-site visits to the declared areas under the support schemes for vegetables. On-the-spot checks measure the size of the plots and check that the crops declared for support are indeed planted in these areas.
Following the intensification of inspections, more than 4,000 producers were deprived of subsidies for attempted fraud, and 90 of them were given to the prosecutor's office because they not only requested a subsidy for unplanted fruits and vegetables, but also submitted invoices that they produced and sold vegetables from unplanted areas.
