Bulgaria is among EU countries sheltering unaccompanied underage migrants

Bulgaria and 11 other European countries are involved in the resettlement of unaccompanied underage migrants from the Greek islands, a European Commission spokesman has said.

Two groups of migrants have been transferred since April. 12 underage migrant are sheltered in Luxembourg and in Germany they are 47. According to the spokesman, a total of 1,600 children will be transferred from the Greek islands to the interior of the EU and this is expected to happen in the coming months with the gradual lifting of travel restrictions.
