Long line of cars forms anew at Kulata-Promachonas border checkpoint with Greece

Kulata-Promachonas border checkpoint is now the only crossing open to tourists for entry into Greece from Bulgarian territory. The line of cars at the checkpoint reached 10 kms. this morning. 

Makaza can still be used as entry into Greece for freight transport, Bulgarian nationals with employment contracts in Greece, as well as by owners of property in Greece.

Ilinden and Kapitan Petko Voivoda are only open to seasonal workers and trucks. Tourists returning to Bulgaria can use any border checkpoint. As of 6 July, Greece is closed to Serbian citizens.

Border police are advising the people travelling to Greece by car to stock up on food and water.
