“We have developed and applied models which predict the development of the pandemic with great precision. We predicted, with 0.5% accuracy, the number of deaths in Europe and in Bulgaria,” said mathematician Prof. Mihail Konstantinov, head of the Information Services state-owned company.

192,564 have died in Europe. By 23 July, their number will reach 199,500, in Bulgaria their number will be below 275, Prof. Konstantinov said. In the words of the mathematician it is difficult to predict whether there will be a new peak, because in 2003, the first coronavirus, SARS, had one wave. In 2014, MERS also developed in just one wave.
