The exposition, organized by Sofia municipality and the National Literary Museum, celebrates the 170th anniversary since the birth of the patriarch of Bulgarian literature Ivan Vazov (born on 9 July, 1850).
Until 26 July, the open-air gallery in front of the National Theatre building in Sofia will illustrate the life and professional biography of Ivan Vazov in 28 photographic and documentary displays. His family is accorded a special place – his mother Suba Vazova, his brothers – General Vladimir Vazov, General Georgi Vazov, and Dr. Boris Vazov. Photographs, manuscripts, correspondence, reminiscences by family members and contemporaries add to the visual story of the life and work of Ivan Vazov.
