Bulgaria’s Foreign Minister Zaharieva visits Czechia

Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva is paying an official visit to Czechia at the invitation of her Czech counterpart Tomáš Petříček. In 2020, the two countries mark 100 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and the former Czechoslovak Republic. 15,000 Bulgarians live in Czechia. The only full-fledged Bulgarian high school abroad Dr. Petar Beron is located in Prague. It was unveiled more than 70 years ago. Minister Zaharieva and Minister Petříček will discuss bilateral relations, ways to overcome the consequences of Covid-19, as well as European topics of mutual interest.
