National naval exercise "Breeze 2020" starts with international participation

Nine countries are participating with warships and auxiliary ships, aircraft and troops in the national naval exercise Breeze 2020, the Defense Ministry has announced. Participants include the navies of Bulgaria, Belgium, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Spain, Romania, the United States, Turkey, as well as the NATO Standing Naval Group 2 and the NATO Standing Mine Counter Measures Group 2 of vessels from the Alliance Response Force. 

The exercise will last until July 19, and the goal is to increase the training of personnel in planning and conducting a maritime operation in a coalition format, to work out countering threats by conducting a wide range of combat operations at sea, etc.
