The director of the Burgas police, Radoslav Sotirov, has resigned at the urging of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov. The commissioner told BNR Burgas that he took responsibility for the clashes in Rosenets Park earlier today. He also said that he had received a "notification" about the actions from both the MRF and "Yes, Bulgaria" on the same day, and that the two protest groups were currently separated by a distance of 50 meters so as not to violate public order.

"I don't want to restrict either of them from going to the beach. And why they decided to do it precisely today, I cannot say" the already former police chief added.
Meanwhile, it became clear that with the help of a dense line of policemen, some of the protesters at the initiative of "Yes, Bulgaria" were given access to the beach near the mansion of the honorary leader of the MRF, Ahmed Dogan.
