Bulgarians are calm about the pandemic, according to a Gallup poll. 35% of the respondents in July believe the coronavirus is a huge threat, 46% say the coronavirus is like the flu and is not so dangerous, as younger people are more skeptical of the danger.
Half of the respondents approve of the work of the National Operational Headquarters. 47% support work from home, 46% have a negative assessment of distance learning in schools.
The amount of positive samples stays relatively the same between 4 and 6 percent, Chief State Health Inspector Assoc. Prof. Angel Kunchev told the Bulgarian National Television. Bulgarian society is tired of the measures imposed and people are actively reluctant to comply with them, he added.
Bulgaria now ranks 3rd in Europe in terms of morbidity, after Sweden and Portugal, Kunchev warned.
