Foreign Ministry: Bulgarians in USA should be vigilant over tropical storm Isaias

Due to the tropical storm Isaias which has hit the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends Bulgarian citizens residing in the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut should stay updated on the new stories from the news agencies and follow the recommendations. of local authorities aimed at ensuring their safety during a tropical storm.
The storm is accompanied by strong winds and heavy rainfall. The eye of the storm is located about 70 miles southwest of Philadelphia.
A state of emergency has been declared in the state of New Jersey, in the western part of which the heaviest rains are expected, accompanied by strong winds.
