"From what I read, it seems to me that corruption is a big problem for Bulgaria, but Europe has abandoned it to deal with this problem on its own." This was said in an exclusive interview with BNR by the Dutch cartoonist Maarten Wolterink.
He said that although he was not familiar with the details, he was outraged by what was happening in the country. In his cartoon, he portrays "The Pumpkin and the Cap,  Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev, respectively."

"I wanted to show how Bulgaria suffers from corruption. The country is brought to its knees. That's why its map is bent and crumpled. People want to change the situation, but they always face corruption. This is my message," the cartoonist said.
