On the 34th day of the antigovernment protests traffic remains blocked at key intersections in Sofia – in front of the Council of Ministers building and at Eagles’ Bridge. There are calls on social media to organize a “Resignation disco” at the protest tonight.

Yesterday’s 33rd day of anti-government protests in Sofia passed without incident. The traditional procession raised the slogan “We won’t stop until we win.” The protesters told BNR’s reporters that what the country needs is radical change. They are still waiting for the decision which the prime minister announced he was going to make. Some perturbation was caused by an elderly man who demanded to be given the protest microphone to say he did not want resignations. He was escorted away from the protest, the BNT reports.

In Varna on the Black Sea some of the routes of the urban transport lines have been changed due to the blockade in front of the town council building.

A vehicle procession protest is planned for the second time at 17.30 today in the town of Pleven. The participants will drive through the central streets and different neighbourhoods of the town to demand the resignation of the government and of prosecution general Ivan Geshev, Latinka Svetozarova, BNR correspondent in Pleven reports.

Former MEP Nikolay Barekov is organizing a protest in front of the house belonging to businessman and media owner Ivo Prokopiev in Budzhaka locality near Sozopol. Barekov claims that the house, built over the rocks, blocks access to the seashore and the magnificent Raiski Zaliv (Paradise Bay). The protest will pass under the motto “Give Budzhaka back to the people,” BNR-Bourgas reports.
