Bulgarian athletes earn five medals at Balkan U20 Championships

Bulgaria’s athletes earned 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals at the Balkan U20 Championships in Istanbul, bgathletic.com announced.

Venelin Georgiev won the title at the 200 meters sprint event. He stopped the clock at 21.29 seconds. Valentin Andreev earned silver at the hammer throw event (76.24 meters). Evgeny Enev placed second at the pole-vault event (4.90 meters). Yana Kopcheva earned bronze at the shot-put discipline (13.28 meters) and Dobromir Nikolov earned bronze at the 110 m. hurdle race.
