The third is the opening of a new pétanque field in Samokov, again on 4 October.

The game has been popular in Bulgaria for 20 years, in 2015 the Black Sea resort of Albena played host, for the first time, to the European Pétanque championship, men, in which contestants from 34 countries took part.
