Between January and July 2020 Bulgaria’s export of goods to the EU contracted by 6.5% as compared to the same period last year to nearly EUR 10.5 billion. The largest amounts were reported for the goods exported to Germany, Romania, Italy, Greece, France and Belgium, data of the National Statistical Institute show.
Between January and July, imports of EU goods decreased by 12.5% as compared to the same period in 2019 to EUR 10.4 billion. The largest amounts were reported for the goods imported from Germany, Romania, Italy, Greece and the Netherlands.
Meanwhile, exports to third countries contracted by 11.5% year on year to EUR 6.1 billion. The largest amounts were reported for the goods exported to Turkey, China, Great Britain, Serbia, Russia and North Macedonia. Import from third countries decreased by 12.8% to EUR 7.5 billion.
