Protesters demanding the resignation of the government and of Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev have scheduled their 109th protest for tonight in the centre of Sofia. Al always, last night’s protest passed under the motto “We are not afraid.”

The pressure the protest is exerting is yielding some results,” said one protester for the BNR, and another added: “I am here because I feel so ashamed of what is happening in the country. The resignations of the government and of the prosecutor general are not enough – we need a complete change of the status quo.”

As always the demonstrators marched to Eagles’ Bridge where they temporarily blocked traffic. The protest passed without incident. Despite the fewer numbers, the protesters say the protests must continue.
