Anti-government protests in Bulgaria continue

The protests demanding the resignation of the government and the prosecutor general continue tonight in Nezavisimost square in Sofia. Later the protesters are expected to make their way to Eagles' Bridge and temporarily block traffic there.

Earlier today the informal organizers of the protest, the so-called “toxic trio” met with non-parliamentary forces to discuss future mechanisms of preventing fraud at the upcoming parliamentary elections. Maya Manolova from “Stand Up.BG”, who took part in the meeting, stated that the lack of voting machines could lead to the cancellation of the election results.
