Local landmarks in a number of cities from the Eurocomm-PR network – the international offices of the city of Vienna around the world – were lit up in the colours of the Austrian flag in solidarity with the victims of the terror attack in the Austrian capital. Via Eurocomm-PR, Sofia also joined the initiative.
“The wave of solidarity from different cities: Sofia, Belgrade and Bratislava to Krakow, Prague and Sarajevo, to Paris and Tel Aviv, shows that Vienna is a “special city”, said the mayor of Vienna Michael Ludwig on 3 November, 2020 and expressed gratitude for the sympathy and the willingness to help. He pointed out that despite the pain the Austrian people will not be diverted from their democratic road and their unity.
Anyone wishing to offer their condolences can do so in the Book of condolence (in German).
