Photo: BTA

From January 1, 2021, Azerbaijani gas will enter Bulgaria and this country will achieve full diversification of energy suppliers, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said. PM Borissov together with the Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova have checked the progress of construction of the gas interconnector Greece-Bulgaria /IGB/.

Thanks to the interconnector, Bulgaria will be able to receive both Azerbaijani natural gas from the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline and supplies through the terminal near Alexandroupolis for liquefied natural gas from the United States, Qatar, Algeria, Israel, Egypt and others, Trud writes.
