Bulgaria with positive budget balance in October

Bulgaria's budget cash balance at the end of October was positive at over 334 million euros, the Ministry of Finance said. The fiscal reserve is 6.74 billion euros, BTA reported.

Profit of banks in this country has reached 407 million euros, which is 306 million euros (42.9%) less compared to the same period of 2019, the Bulgarian National Bank – BNB, said. This is due to the reduction of interest income and losses on non-performing loans.

The BNB has identified eight banks as “system-significant institutions” and set a buffer for risky loans from January 1, 2021, which ranges from 1 to 0.5% for the various banks.
