Boyko Borissov: Bulgaria is not part of a scenario for attacking countries around the Black Sea

“It is not true that Bulgaria is part of a scenario for attacking countries around the Black Sea,” Prime Minister Boyko Borissov states on his Facebook profile.

His words come in response to a statement by Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, who alleged that scenarios were being developed during exercises in Bulgaria and Romania for dealing strikes, including against the territory of Russia, by NATO bombers capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

“The only thing we are doing any differently from previous years is the modernization of our military equipment and airports for the new F-16 Block 70 aircraft. We are also enhancing our naval capabilities because our navy is not in proper condition,” Boyko Borissov points out.
