The Black Sea town of Burgas is the winner of the “2020 Destination of the Year Grand Award” of Destinations - ultimate guide for your holiday magazine and bgtourism.bg website. The multiple themed weekends that made thousands of tourists rediscover Burgas and the region for their vacation helped the city win this award.

The award in "Cooking and Restaurants" category went to the Black Sea Cuisine project. It brings together culinary experts from Bulgaria, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine and Turkey to present the importance and benefits of the Black Sea cuisine. The ultimate goal is to position it in top 12-15 of the most recognizable cuisines by the end of 2025.
