The Bulgarian men's national volleyball team achieved difficult success over North Macedonia in the first friendly international between the two teams. The game was part of preparations for the European qualification in Israel in January.

Led by Silvano Prandi and Nikolay Zhelyazkov, the Bulgarians won 3:2 (20:25, 22:25, 25:20, 25:14, 19:17) as guests. After 155 minutes of playing in the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center in Skopje, the Bulgarians, who were without a number of key players, including captain Tsvetan Sokolov, showed motivation and will for victory. After a difficult start and lagging behind with 0:2, the Bulgarian team managed to find a way to break the defense of the hosts. In the next two parts and in the tiebreak, they completely outplayed the hosts and congratulated each other with the final success, BGNES reported.
