A protest calling for the resignation of Mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova has been held in front of the Sofia Municipality, BNR reporter Dobromir Videv informed. The reason for the protest is the fatal incident in which a 16-year-old boy died from an electric shock on a busy boulevard in the capital city, waiting at traffic lights to cross.

An inspection by the municipality showed that five retail stores near the scene of the incident were illegal, including the one which the dangerous cable was connected to. The cable was placed illegally, but at the same time the user has a signed agreement with the energy company CEZ for energy supply.
