As of 9 PM tonight, 6 March, restrictions are enforced in Romania on arrivals from Bulgaria, which is on the list of countries from the so-called “yellow zone”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced.

Arrivals who present a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours prior to entry into Romania are subject to 10-day home quarantine. If their stay is up to three days and they have presented a negative PCR test taken up to 72 hours prior to entry into Romania no quarantine is imposed. Arrivals from Bulgaria who do not present such a test upon entry into Romania are subject to 14-day home quarantine. The test results can be in paper or electronic form but they must have been issued by an authorized laboratory and contain identification data of the person tested.

No test is required for children up to the age of three, or for persons who have been revaccinated or have had Covid-19 and have recovered in the past 90 days.

Transit passengers across the territory of Romania arriving from countries from the so-called “yellow zone”, including Bulgaria are not included in the listed exceptions from the requirement to present a negative RT-PCR test!
