More than 120 doctors, nurses, orderlies and ambulance drivers lost their lives last year

A minute of silence to honour the memory of medical professionals who died to Covid-19

In last year over 120 Bulgarian doctors, nurses, paramedics and ambulance drivers lost their lives fighting to the last with Covid-19 and fulfilling their professional and moral duty with dignity, reads a statement of the Bulgarian Medical Association. 


On the occasion of the World Health Day, tomorrow at 12.00 noon healthcare professionals from all hospitals and emergency aid centres in the country will observe one minute of silence and with the sirens of the ambulances on they will honour the memory of their deceased colleagues. 

In Sofia, the ceremony will take place in front of the Monument to the Medical Ranks, located in the garden in front of the Military Medical Academy.
