The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency has seized salmonella-infected chicken for the first time this year, but the problem with meat infected with salmonella from Poland has existed for several years now, reminded the reporter of the Bulgarian National Radio Veselina Milanova. In 2019, more than 100 tons of salmonella-infected chicken reached the Bulgarian shops. This continued in 2020, but inspectors from the Food Safety Agency reacted quicker and did not allowed the shipments to reach the market.
