Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev has extended a greeting to Bulgarian lawyers and court employees on their professional holiday. The application of laws as a coherent system of rules goes far beyond the regulation of public relations, he stressed. The dimensions of law, in addition to affirming ethical norms, are also to form legal consciousness for generations to come, Radev emphasizes.

The Bulgarian head of state calls on the legal community to be steadfast in defending the law, to be uncompromising with injustice, because the trust in the Bulgarian judiciary is built with perseverance and every day.

On April 16, 1879, the Constituent Assembly in the town of Tarnovo (present-day Veliko Tarnovo) adopted the first Bulgarian constitution known as the Tarnovo Constitution.
