Bulgaria reports 1,708 new cases of Covid-19

1,708 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 14,888 tests performed. More than 11% of the tests have returned positive result. 29 medics have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the past day. The highest number of new infections were reported in Sofia-389, followed by Plovdiv-183, Varna-133 and Burgas-92.

8,073 patients are being treated in hospital, 751 of them in intensive care units. 105 people have died and 2,477 have recovered in the past 24 hours.

18,423 Covid-19 vaccines have been administered in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of inoculations against the novel coronavirus to more than 716, 000. More than 160,000 people have received their second vaccine dose.
