Borislav Mihaylov has been denied registration to become President of the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) again, reported SPORTAL website. The legendary Bulgarian goalkeeper resigned as President of the BFU in the autumn of 2019. However, in April this year, when Dimitar Berbatov officially announced that he would run for the position of President of the Bulgarian Football Union, Mihaylov withdrew his resignation and said that he intended to complete his term of office.

However, a check in the Commercial Register shows that Mihaylov was denied another registration and he cannot serve as President of the Bulgarian Football Union again. Mihailov has 7 days to appeal the decision. Earlier, UEFA and FIFA have called for an explanation from the Bulgarian Football Union about the way Mihaylov has managed to return to office before the extraordinary congress of the BFU.
