А specialized children's hospital to be built in Bulgaria’s coastal city Burgas

The Municipality of Burgas has taken the first step towards the construction of a specialized children's hospital in the city. The hospital will be the work of the Spanish multinational consortium IDOM, selected by the European Investment Bank among 13 applicants.

Over the next three months, the experts will have the task of preparing a project adapted for the comprehensive treatment of children from all over Southeast Bulgaria. The team will determine the number of floors and wards, doctor’s offices and hospital beds, will identify the necessary equipment and will prepare tender documents for the municipality to apply for financing the construction.

The Spanish consortium has experience in implementing major infrastructure projects and several hospitals built in Europe and South America.
