The caretaker government is turning into a pre-election headquarters of President Rumen Radev and aims at his re-election. This was said at a briefing by the deputy chairman of the GERB party, Daniel Mitov.
"President Radev and Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov cannot forgive the secret services for uncovering and breaking up the Russian spy network. Our assessment is that the attacks against the services are precisely because of this," Mitov said. He recalled that Bulgaria's security services had recently been heard in NATO in connection with the revealed Russian spy network and had been highly praised by Bulgaria's Euro-Atlantic partners.
GERB insists on disclosure of the truth about whether politicians were wiretapped during the election campaign.
