Three Seas Initiative invests in energy in Bulgaria

The Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund (3SIIF), in which the Bulgarian Development Bank is taking part, acquired a considerable share of Enery Development GmbH, a company producing energy from renewable sources. It is in possession of 85MW capacities, 50MW of which in Bulgaria. It also has energy parks in Czechia, Slovakia, Austria and Romania. In 2020 Enery purchased the solar park in the village of Karadzhalovo, the biggest solar park in the country.

The acquisition of an Enery share is the third portfolio investment by 3SIIF. The Fund already supports the Polish locomotive operator Cargounit as well as the digital data Greenergy Data Centers. Three Seas is not disclosing the size of its investments. It includes shareholders from all 12 countries taking part in the initiative.
