Stefan Makedonski Music Theatre with shows under the open sky

The Stefan Makedonski Music Theatre is opening its Sofia festival with the show “One night with the Broadway hits”.

The music from “Cabaret”, “Cats”, “The phantom of the opera” and other popular musicals will sound from a stage seating 560, especially constructed for the purpose in the park of the Military Academy in Sofia. The programme of the festival, which will go on until 10 July, also features the musical of the Sofia Opera “Les Misérables”, three ballet miniatures by the Stara Zagora opera house, the rock musical “Hair” by the opera in Varna and other works. 

The festival will end with the extravagant show “Carmen Collection” by Arabesque Ballet, music Petar Dundakov. It is the ambition of the organizers to make the festival international.
