Bulgaria reports 81 new cases of Covid-19 out of 8,339 tests performed

81 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 8,339 tests performed, indicate data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal. Less than 1% of the tests have returned positive result. The highest number of new infections was reported in Sofia-27, followed by Varna-9 and Blagoevgrad-7. No new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in eight Bulgarian districts. 2,283 patients are being treated in hospital, 246 of them in intensive care units. 34 people have recovered and 5 have died in the past 24 hours. There are 12,952 active cases of coronavirus infection at present. 

4,970 Covid-19 vaccines have been administered in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of inoculations against Covid-19 to more than 1.5 million. 697,147 people have already received their second vaccine dose.
