Children over the age of 12 can now be vaccinated against Covid-19 with the "Pfizer"/"Biontech" vaccine,  the Ministry of Health reported. Immunization is performed with an informed consent document filled in by the parents.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Health, Dr. Stoycho Katsarov, has pointed out at a meeting with the new UNICEF Representative to the Republic of Bulgaria, Christina Dorothea de Bruin, that: "We have no choice but to try everything to convince people to get vaccinated and make their informed choice."

According to the Minister, we have all the prerequisites for immunization, but vaccination coverage remains low. Christina de Bruin said she was ready to help launch an information campaign in support of the vaccines. "This is necessary because of the alarming signals and the fact that even some of the medical specialists in Bulgaria are skeptical about vaccines," she said.
